Whipping up some controversy...

No, it's much more dangerous now with the US government ordering 400 million hollow point rounds (dum-dum bullets), 35,000 drones in place to cover the US, armoured cars for police departments, Obama signing the National Defense Authorization Act at the start of the year (allows US military to arrest and intern indefinitely, without charge, judge or jury, any US citizen anywhere on the planet), another Executive Order on 17th March this year allowing the USG to seize any US citizen's home, assets, even their very asses for organisation into labour teams, and on and on the list goes. So, at a time when the USG is acting like the morons on the bottom row of the OP's pic, it's very appropriate for the US citizens to arm themselves because no-one else is going to defend them against whatever it is the USG is planning.

Didn't all this start with Bush's Patriot Act?
