Which Microscope?

After extensive research, i'm about to go big and launch my own repair company using sawdust and woodchips.

However, I need to be able to see and identify microbiological stuff, things like bacteria, fungal hyphae, protozoa, etc. Apparently some fungi now digest plastic, and I need to make sure there's a healthy colony of fungal predators present in the sawdust so I don't get stuff I'm fixing eaten.

Anyone used a cheapo Amscope ? Looking at a trinocular one with 5m pixel camera. Obviously, once I've made it big I'll get an Olympus.

Recommend an Olympus or Nikon. Never used a Zeiss.

Bloody ell m8, thanks, but they're well out of my league. I can go to 400quid max, so I'm in Chinese Amscope territory (we can't get Swift here and they may be out of my range for the Tri w/ camera too). As well as the sawdust job, I also need it for microbial level vermiculture/soil/plant monitoring, but it's only a small market garden/farm operation.

400 quid? You’ll need to do good work to find a frustrated lab worker then some for a good door man. Make sure you don’t get caught on camera. Maybe scope it out ahead of time so you know what you’re grabbing.
