Which Former Players....

Evertonized

Player Valuation: £1m
In the Daily Mirror Robbie Savage has admitted he cheered after Birmingham City got relegated because of the fans booing him.

So my question is, do you think any former players of Everton hate the fans so much that they would cheer when we get knocked out of cups etc?

plenty, as we don't exactly give them our blessing when they move on.

I disagree. Most ex Everton players get a good reception; it's the ones that:

a.) Go to Liverpool
b.) Go under contentious circumstances

that seem to get booed.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the people who boo, by the way, I'm just saying what I've noticed.

i can't speak to the amount of booing, but at least in terms of general attitude towards the players, i think its typically the players that the club wants to sell that are liked, and the players that want to leave that we hate.

I don't really like booing. If the person has insulted the club, then fair enough like, but I can't think off too many people who match that criteria these days. Outside of Man City, I can't think of anyone.

And the only player I've ever booed was Abel Xavier...

... while he was still playing for Everton. I cheered for him when he made the switch.

I was at the 1-6 v Arsenal and went with all intention of showing support for Lescott. But as soon as he walked out on the pitch with his head down, strolling around with his hands in his shorts that was it. Booed him to s*it.

Cups, yes. But I don't think any former player would cheer if we get relegated. At least not any player that has played here for more than a season.

Only bad bitters like Radzinski and Jeffers. Maybe Gary Speed went home every night and cried himself to sleep - who knows.
