I'm 'English' and therefore a 3000+ years mongrel in the making as in celts, romans...which It's self could encompass most of Europe, North Africa, the near east, middle east, turkey etc. Then theres all your angles, saxons, jutes, danes and other sundry scandinavian johnnys, French, Flemish...basically your uncle tom Cobbley and all.
MONGREL !
And, IMHO, all the better for it.

Traced my Dads family all the way back to 1666. Got that far back mainly because they lived in the same South Wales village of Llansamlet for years, leaving for Liverpool in the mid 1800’s and settling in Garston, working in the copper works.

My DNA says I’m 40% Welsh, 20% English, 18% Scandinavian, 12% Italian and the rest Balkan and Greek!

Scouse, Scottish and Italian. Great grandparents were immigrants from Genoa (very similar to Liverpool) came over to Liverpool as workers on a ship and never went home.

They were literally told by the Preist that helped them find accommodation that Sunday’s are for church and mass and Saturday was reserved, come rain or shine for Everton and that as they say is where it all started.

Since all the way back only one red sheep (my brother) in the family has feeling for the dark side. History hay?
