when arch duke Ferdinand was assassinated i was in bed having a tug....

Does anyone remember watching ch4s live coverage as princess Diana had just crashed ?...It said latest news is she has broken her arm' then literally seconds later it said ' Diana is dead'...it was the most shocking piece of tv ever and i was no fan of hers.

Haha! Im probably in bed tugging when most things happen TBF.

I was about 8 or 9 sitting in front of the telly watching ceefax in the morning. When I saw it I woke everyone up to tell them but they didn't believe me. They all thought ceefax was ****!

I was in Majorca when that happened, all the women/bored housewives were in the hotel reception crying over the tele so me and my dad had the pool to ourselves!

Cashback!

Don't remember what I was doing when Lennon was shot, was out with my wife on her birthday when Diana died, watching the Bill when 9-11 happened, wasn't born when Armstrong walked on the moon, was in my favourite pub watching it on tv when Everton last won a trophy, was in bed sleeping when the boxing day tsunami happened and was just leaving work when this thread started.
