Where were you or what were you doing when John Lennon was shot?

I was in bed after being run over by a police accident van.

Going into work in Warrington, got through the main gate and heard Imagine on the radio and the DJ saying over it that Lennon had been shot dead in Dakota, thats what I thought he said. A couple of things go through my head 1, what was John Lennon doing in Dakota and 2 [Poor language removed] he's dead. Obviously i misunderstood it was outside the building not the city/state.

Ok Can`t remember John Lennon so its 9-11. Was installing cable tv in a new customers house( in Walton by County road) and when we got it on i was showing him how to work it and all that was on every channel was a big building on fire which turns out to be one of the twin towers.Shocking, but when we arrived at the next customers, boom second plane hit.

I have no idea if Lennon was murdered in my life time. I guess he was shot in the 80's, so yes ? I was prolly at home.

Continuing on from what others have said, I wasn't even in my dads' left nut when Lennon was murdered.

I only twigged about 9/11 when I got home from school, weird that nobody had even mentioned it all afternoon.
