I'm going to be in NYC this weekend.... in the Chelsea area.... I'm going to do my best to catch the us beating down that crappy team....

Anyone know of a place I can catch the match... with other Evertonians would be great... but I can handle it by myself also..

Ford,

I'm an American born NYC blue, and the only designated Everton bar in the city is Mr. Dennehey's in the West Village. Call ahead to make sure they'll be open early enough for the derby (7:45am here on the east coast). Its a small place, and there are typically 10-15 blues watching any given game. See you there!

Mr Dennehy's Carmine Street Near Greenwich Village might have it on.

I managed to catch the Everton vs Brum cup defeat in Jan 2010, It has an Everton shirt framed on the wall so I'm guessing an ex pat Blue may run the place

Yeah Mr. Dennehey's is pretty much the go to for Blues in NY, im sure the owner posts on another efc forum, i was supposed to go there but my missus's feet didnt touch the floor for shopping FFS.

if you cant get to a bar at 7:45 am, the match is on live on espn2, which is a channel every hotel room/house should get.

Despite my handle, my young kids keep me in the suburbs. I know nothing of Manhattan bars anymore.

According to Mr. Dennehey's web cite (see below), they are also a Real Madrid bar, so I would check to see when they are playing for any conflict.

I called last night and they'll be opening at 7:15 for the match. The bartender seemed pretty excited about it...

I've been going there on and off for a couple years and I don't think I've ever seen a Real Madrid supporter.
