Where does the MLS rank among world football leagues?

I used to follow the Sounders last year and the year before as much as I could, but the time difference often just killed me.

It was decent footy, like. Obviously not Prem quality, but not as bad as people make it out to be!

I follow DC United.

The level from when i started following to now is amazing how much better it has become. I started following in 96-97. While the level leaves some things to be desired I would say that it is at least on par with the English Championship and the Mexican league now. Seattle is creating a dynasty and you can see the system flaws in team building in relation to how the league allocates the DPs. But I mean why shouldn't that huge amount of support be rewarded, right?

I meant to reply to this one...good post.

NYFC I feel will be the most interesting thing for the league...having that direct partnership with City really concerns me in terms of league balance. I did catch your Seattle comments though...

Ive tried to watch it and I cant. I just cant.

Unless its changed in the last 2 years; since I last tried to watch; then maybe im being harsh. Its strange because the U.S national team can play decent at times.

For me its very poor. I've probably exaggerated a little with a few things ive said, apologies for that, but honestly I dont know anyone who watches MLS. Ive barely heard it mentioned here in Boston.

I guess the exaggeration tends to rankle me a little. I was a FC Dallas season ticket holder for years until I moved. Believe me, there is the occasional dull game, but it is way better than it used to be.

The great thing is that it's the average player getting better. For the most part, the DPs aren't all that great.

Boston has such a wealth of pro sports and even college sports, that isn't surprising. It's unfortunate because the Revs actually have a young, exciting team this year.

Yeah...unlike the Premier League where every game is filled with excitement.
