I don't buy that as we have beaten them plenty of times with far worse players than we currently have.

I'm thinking we should flood the team with local lads who would hate losing the trouble with this current team is they readily accept the defeats.

They are years ahead of 13 other teams in the league as well but it doesn't stop them from beating them every once in a while. It's just us with a huge crippling mental block. Other teams actually have decent records against them. Until the mentality of Everton changes right at the very top and we stop accepting our position as the smaller club in Liverpool then we will never beat them again. For too long too many at Everton have been too comfortable with the nice little brother image for Everton. We should be stamping our authority as the first and therefore premier club in Liverpool, we should be flaying the local media for their patronising coverage of us and it should be the first milestone in our board's plan to return us to the top of the English game, to wrestle pre eminence first in the city, then in the country, then in Europe. Sadly I fear no one at Everton is remotely interested in this certainly not among the playing staff the majority of whom would probably gladly swap colours given the opportunity.
 
I read a stat on Everton results website that we hadn't lost in our previous 15 monday night games home or away untill we played them the other night.some stats against them are bordering on shocking, non more so than the one that we haven't won the second derby of a season since 1988! Lets hope April 1st 2017 really lives up to its fools day billing.
 
Maybe, when we start refering to Liverpool FC as Liverpool FC and not RS, "them" etc. You should free yourselves a little bit! Let me start with this: We will win the next game against Liverpool!

April Fools finishes at midday so we can't even clutch onto this straw.
 
Massive inferiority complex when it comes to Liverpool from most who play and compete against them. And a lot of fans too!
I would love a manager/chairman to come in with the mindset of Alex Ferguson who made it his objective to show them they weren't untouchable.
I am fed up of us doing the same old thing/making the same old mistakes every time we play them, we just simply shouldn't be so poor and have such an awful record against any team, let alone our closest rivals!
Hopefully if this stadium idea comes to fruition and we bring in ambitious, hungry, talented players we should start to match and even beat Liverpool sometime around 2020.
