Awesome, lid.
Besides Everton and the beautiful game in general, the automotive world is also of great interest to me. I'm also of the belief that you can tell a lot about a person by the car they decided to purchase. So, your wheels, your whips, your piles of steel on rubber, show them to me. Or, if you're not so proud of your vehicle, feel free to add what you'd get if your ride met an untimely end tomorrow. Or, if you want to just talk cars in general, I'll happily oblige. I'll start:
This is my 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL, in full suburban office park glory. For those across the pond, I don't think you get this model or anything like it. Later models of the Altima are very similar to the Renault Latitude, but this one is on a different platform. It's a pretty standard fare D-segment sedan/saloon, albeit with a tad bit better handling than your more pedestrian Camry.
It wasn't my first choice vehicle (I'm partial to Mopars myself) but I was time-constrained in having to secure transportation to a new job out in the suburbs, and was financially constrained after being out of work for the summer.
I'd say it turned out well, though. Got a screaming deal on it because the dealer I bought it from was too lazy to clear an airbag light. It was in a minor accident, but the repairs were well done. Just nobody bothered to clear the code. Their loss, I saved over $2000 off the market value of it.
If this vehicle were to meet an untimely end, I'd probably throw the insurance check down on a Dodge Dart (Alfa Romeo Giulietta sedan/saloon) or a used Ford Fusion (Mondeo).
