With the troubles of Tesco at the minute I got to wondering where GOT members get their main groceries.

Or wives/husbands of GOTs. Let's not be sexist now.

Online included

I'd shop at Asda, but the checkout girls are prettier at Sainsbury's and Tesco, so that's where I go.
Oh, you need to add Booths to the list for us Wools lucky enough to shop there.

tesco because they're the nearest and i get home delivery with clubcard.

iceland is boss for super saving, so use to use that when i was poorer and younger and use to work for morrisons, but their security is too lax.

...I'm old school and don't do supermarkets, that's Mrs Eggs job. I know she goes to THE ASDA for the big weekly shop (although there's only the 2 of us at home now), but Tesco and Sainsbury's are also local and she will often nip to those if she needs anything extra.

Aldi, lad.

My God if Aldi did online delivery that would be the pinnacle of civilisation, could not be topped.

This Thurs is Aldi's cycling kit day, btw - can load up on cheap (and good) commuting gear for the winter.

we have a sort of prison shop that's open 2 days a week

they don't have a huge selection but you can usually get a few little bits that keep ya going you know

next time I go I'll be sure to ask if they're supplied by one of the main supermarket chains, I imagine that's the case

Asda, really upped their game in the last few years. Have some great stuff and well priced.

Used to be Sainsbury's but they have gone downhill in the last year or so.

As a recently Graduated student, the Giant tins of Chicken Soup, which were basically just pasta, chicken and veg, from Lidl for £1, were, and still the best thing ever invented, just go in every week and spend £7, and you'd be laughing for lunch in the middle of the day, or for tea, perfect.

They did a similar one with meatballs too, and they were cracking too. That's how to be a poor student, shame their fruit and veg is bloody naff.

Tesco. Mainly cos they sell a lower alcohol content wine that Mrs R likes. Dont see it anywhere else.

And clubcard vouchers are ace.
