What's your excuse for the semi-final

I have a important league game for my local football team on the 14th but obviously will miss it for the semi final and getting stick for doing it, just wondering if anyone else will miss or let down friends, wives, gf, work for the massive game against the red sh*te.
 

Grand National. 150k a large proportion of those will be terracotta coloured larger bosomed scouse girls I hope.
 
A lad i know from work is missing his best mates stag do in Magaluf (he's the best man) for it..i'm not sure if he's had any stick or what his excuse was tho.

Another lad I know had tickets for the National & him & his cousin had bought their suits etc. & then of course Everton beat Sunderland, at which point he told his cousin he couldnt make it because work had forced him to go the match instead (he works for Everton)
 
tbh I don't get this 'excuse' business, plain and simple.... we go every week to get into these big games, I was coming back off my hols for the cup final last time if a ticket had turned up, travel was cheaper than from here as well.
 

Was to be the Grand National, but I think they've put them on at different times, would've been sick and wrong to put the two highlights of my year on the same time.
 
Not an exuse but for the final in 09 I walked out of work coz they wouldn't let me go watch it and they sacked me.

Actually I may still do this. I hate my job and I'm looking for a new one, I'm still only on a trial period so I don't have a contract so I can just waltz on out of there, providing I have another source of income!
