now you're gonna hear about it
C'mon, everyone has made this mistake. I was young--that's my excuse--when I paid money to watch Nelson:

The Big Pink. I was on the guest list as I knew the band who were supporting so I got in for pretty much nothing and they were dire.

I've seen average bands do good shows, and 'World Class' ones do stinkers.

Bad Company and Blue Oyster Cult at the Empire were shocking.

Honestly I can't say I've ever gone to a show I'm embarrassed of, and the shows I've been to have been at the very least decent even if the band weren't great.

The only thing that comes close is New Edition. Me and my mates were huge fans in high school and we saw them instead of attending our Sr. Prom believe it or not. So I was into a boy band before "boy bands" in the 90's. I don't listen to them now and haven't for many years but at the time I was stoked and enjoyed it.

"Magic, A Kind Of Queen".

Not surprisingly, a Queen tribute band. They would've been better if the singer could actually have sung - the actual music was spot on.

The singer was just intent on parading round the stage wanting to be Freddie, but he was blonde and stuff. Still wore all the Lycra gear though!

Will probably get me lynched around these parts, but Morrissey played Tucson around '98. Paid arena costs per ticket for an mediocre dance-club venue where they were charging arena prices for t-shirts inside. (Sorry, punk/metal me is used to $10-20 shirts).

Came out, sang for about 40 minutes, tops, and was done.

Wasn't horrid, but was just horribly disappointing.

I've seen them and they were terrible.

Just one of those bands who has one decent song but the rest is awful.

Worst band I've ever seen. Tough one that. Leave it with me to think.

No wait. Got it.

Keane.

At the Isle Of Wight Festival. They were on before The Rolling Stones and were the exact opposite to what you want before a band like The Stones. Boring. Slow. Set went on for beards.

Just awful.
