Crossing the street here in central Kyiv one hot summer's day - first day of the season. One local walking amongst a group of fellow Ukrainian stereotypes, but there he was with a brand-new home shirt on.

I smiled. Quite possibly I whistled to myself, too. It brought tears of pride to my eyes, make no mistake.
