Leaving aside being happy/loved up/kids etc etc - what's your work/career dream?

Something to think about on a Monday morning....

Me it's to make enough money from my business to take a step back and be able to concentrate on investing in start ups. That early period in any business is the most exciting and I want to get back to that.

Then as a hobby I'd like to buy a small footy team in a half decent market town from the non-leagues and try and see if I can make it sustainable and get it up into league footy and smash the RS in the FA Cup third round.......


Any others?
 

I don't actually know what I want job-wise. If I could become a graphic designer that gets to do talks at conferences and such, because they're respected/influential designers, that'd be nice. . Art-wise, I want to be able to have exhibitions of my own, have a gallery represent me, that'd be wonderful.
 
To have a book published.

My own fault, have written 3 novels, though last one needs final chapter finishing.

Haven't sent them off to anyone, though friends who have read them really like them.

If I got my ar$e into gear and did something would love to do that as a career/income generator.....

As I said, my own fault... :(

what are they about? What is their genre :)
 
Ive been doing the same job with new responsibities since 1993
I dont mind it but it still keeps me awake at night
Im looking forward to retiring, preferably to the seaside
But in the meantime Im still a badass to all the people who dont really know me but other wise a teddy bear

You're still plenty young matey. At least another 20 years til you retire/croak.

The dream was to be a pro skater mate. But to do that you needs sponsors. And the chances to get a sponsor are insanely slim.

I had one chance, but did my knee in like a week before, so that was my shot gone.

I've barely skated since.

If only you were American and good looking. Then there'd be a movie in there somewhere.

Focus on your career now. Get insanely rich then pay people to skate around your country mansion.

First one, Pride of Angels (1988) takes the book of revelations into 20th century and turns it on its head, i.e. Jesus aint the saviour, he gets it wrong.

Second, The Truth of Self evidence (1995) is about a lad who merges video games to make hybrids but finds hidden messages (sort of dark web stuff) in them and gets followed, very techno influenced.

Third is Instead of Life (2013-14), about an older man who gets divorced by his wife, his life unravels and he starts having conversations with himself, in his mind, possibly, he doesn't know, questioning life etc, he's involved in a crash on a bus and as him and a young boy he keeps seeing are dying the young boy teaches him about the purpose of life and where he went wrong, got 2 ways to finish it, done one, have to do the second so I'm sure which way it should go.

Nah - i'm alright with it.

Would have been cool to do something like that and get paid for it. Having a real job sucks bad.

But hey, i'm happy and that's all that matters.
