Player Valuation: £70m
A lot of crazy figures are bandied about when people talk about how much it costs to win the league. To be fair when wages and everything else is factored in it is ridiculous.

I wonder though, if your manager has a boss eye for a player, how much you'd need to spend to build a team capable of winning the league? These are all rough figures of what a player cost last time he was transferred.

My TEAM.

Hart - 700k
Baines - 6m
Vidic - 9m
Kompany - 7m
Ivanovic - 6m
Bale - 9m
Gibson - 500k
Fellaini - 12m
Cazorla - 16m
Hazard - 33m
Adebayor - 5m

Total Cost = £104.2m

Reckon that'd be the best and cheapest first 11 in the league capable of winning it.

Have a go?

Obviously fairly irrelevant in today's money but the total cost of that unbeaten Arsenal team from what I can see was only £44.35m

Jens Lehmann - £2m
Lauren - £7.2
Kolo Toure - £150k
Sol Campbell - Free
Ashley Cole - Youth
Fredrik Ljungberg - £3m
Gilberto Silva - £4.5m
Patrick Vieira - £3.5m
Robert Pires - £6m
Dennis Bergkamp - £7.5m
Thierry Henry - £10.5

The best team thats been put together in the PL era IMO.

Looking for the transfer fees for those players you get reminded of players like Petit and Overmars, the quality of players that have passed through Arsenal over the years is pretty impressive

Considering how equal we were as clubs at the start of the PL era and what we could have seen drives me mad. Imagine Bergkamp at Everton.

Beat team I've ever seen in the flesh. (Though we actually didn't play too badly and got a well earned draw, if I remember right.)

Mine too, Henry was superb that season, second best player I've ever seen with my own eyes after Ronaldinho. Moyes was quite gung ho in his early days with us I seem to remember.
