Ok, a day which was one of the worst days for many blues in recent memory is now behind us. It ****ing hurt, sure but where's dwelling on it going to get us, it's definitely not changing the result. What's done is done.

Which brings us to the match against Man Utd. Don't know if there's a worse team to be up against after a result like that. Let's just end this season as positively as possible, no better way to do it than getting a result over Utd. What's funny is I have complete faith in the team to get a result and not bottle it.

Now that the season is pretty much over, we need to blood as many youngsters as possible. Let barkley get his game time now, get Vellios supporting Jelavic, chuck Duffy back into defense. It always gets me excited seeing youngsters shine!

Ah koff, I don't even know what I'm writing. I just want to forget yesterday as much as possible, even though I dont think I can. I just love this club to death and don't think dwelling on what happened is going to help. I honestly hate how much I love this club.

ETID. COYB.

I'm being proper serious here - I want United to beat us, as I don't want Everton to be responsible for United not moving another league title ahead of those bells we have as neighbours.

Our season, as you say, is completely over, so there's no reason to give that lot another reason to celebrate.

If our bunch of bottlers turn up against United and get a result when, once again, it doesn't matter in the slightest, I'll honestly be angry.

We've played well recently (once again, only when the season was dead after a dreadful start), so I thoroughly expect us to finish the seasons strongly. But I also expect us to have a gash start to the next season.

Frankly, because of Moyes.

Any Evertonian who wants Everton to be beat needs to have a serious word with themselves.

Not at all. There's nothing to play for, and we'd potentially give Liverpool basically a treble if we beat them. It'd be like a league title, as it'd stop it becoming 20-18.

I'd say exactly the opposite - any Evertonian who wants Man City to win the league this year needs to have a word with themselves.

Agreed... The extra money we get for finishing as high up in the table doesn't even factor into some peoples minds either. 800k per place is nothing to snub your nose at when in our financial situation.

He's spot on 100%.

This season's depressing enough without Liverpool having their dream fulfilled of United failing to get #20.

If they fail to turn up against Liverpool yesterday but win against United next week it just shows how spinelss they were yesterday and how hopelessly out of touch they are with reality.

i don't want city to win the league but i also want everton to beat united. but what i want makes no difference, we will go to united throw everyone behind the ball and pray for a 0-0. we won't get it.

Exactly.

I couldn't care less about finishing above Liverpool now. I don't care about the scant extra money from league placing (especially as we budgeted for league survival and the money goes into "other operating costs" anyway). All I care about now is denying Liverpool what would amount to a free league title.

Bitter? You bet I am.

Everton get £££ for every league spot.

Frankly I don't give a stuff about anyone else but Everton unless its to say "at least we're not.." Anyone else.

I want the money. For Everton so there's less excuses about adding to our squad for next year.

But as I said. Any Evertonian who wants Everton to be beaten needs a serious word.

We are 5point clear of 14th (with a game in hand on most admittedly). The difference between 7th and 14th is 5.4millon so a bad run of form could see us easily slip down the table.

Now I'm not expecting us to get anything from the game but to say that you don't want anything from it is ****ing beyond words.

As for what the money's spent on, you don't really know. It could be the difference between offering an extra 5-10k a week to a potential signing (I know, optimistic like)

The difference between 7th and 14th is

5.4 million in prize money.

Come on Everton FFS !!!!!!!!!

** Its actually probably more like. 7million as prize money per place went up again!

Here's to Chelsea and Newcastle losing all the rest of their games and us winning. 5th place here we come
