I've been trying to get Mrs k to buy me a Vespa. ... loads of my mates got scooters now and have some great weekends away... think she's coming round to the idea.....slowly
2 in 5 weekends will be spent on the hard shoulder trying to fix your/a.n.other's steed.

Lambretta lids, Lambretta...only a 60s original mind...I had a TV 200, dead reliable, went like stuff off a shovel when I bored it out to 225, plugged the crank and re-jetted the carb...you could still buy 101 octane petrol back then too.

In fact I want one for Christmas AND the katy perry / face sit thing too

Mate of mine had a GP200 bored out to 235 with a 35mm carb on it if I remember it right, used to pretty much suck small kids off the pavement and cruise at 70+. Bloody terrifying going that fast on those tiny little wheels lollol

I did all the mod stuff for about a year then binned it. Did a bit of night time rallying/off road time trial stuff around N. Wales.
Went touring in Europe on it; Calais, Dunkirk, Ostend, Bruges, Brussels, Ardeness, Luxemburg, ended up on the ale with 2 UK DJs, on into Germany until we ran out of hols and cash
