Player Valuation: £150m
Its been ten years since I have had my outside of my house painted pebble dash fascia board downspouts etc etc it was a bit rough to say the least loads of preparation work for the guy who was going to do the job - got guys out of the local press and received one quote of £2800 cash only - I told him politely I don't spend that on my cars......
A friend recommended this guy who came in at £950 using the best paint - Dulux weather shield etc two coats - he turned up 3 days late with polite notice and got cracking on the preparation, boy did he do a very good job and extra work new gutter bracket put on cleaned the gutters out undone two blocked downspouts - he was punctual every day - I was so pleased for his efforts and told him I would pay him a grand as he had done a great job ....
Just my luck later that day he crashed his ladders against my sky dish smashing the terminal end into bits .... doh that cost me £60 as my mate did it cheap new dish new bracket the works ... he stated how the hell did he do that......
I honoured the extra £50 - did I do the correct thing, or was I too soft?
I think I had to honour my word as crap happens - or was I too soft? Or is nowadays an outside paint job for a large semi detached house £950.00 a good price?
I am very pleased with the job and apart from the unfortunate error by him - I let it go.......
I await the onslaught from @COYBL25 :D

If you're happy pay him for the good work. He won't have done it on purpose. 900 is a fortnight's work for an experienced teacher so I'm sure a fortnight working on your house was similar reward.

Surely that was a job for Mrs Joey or was she too busy welding your old banger to get it through the MOT ?
