The poor guy obviously has a chip on his shoulder though! I think most people on this forum humour him and see him as the village idiot.

...presume you are talking about how best to spend rather than how best to invest the dosh. Interest rates are so bad, the only real returns are by tying your savings up over a fixed-term (2 or 3 years). Spend it on whatever best tickles your fancy, other consideration is use it as a deposit on a property.
