for you to accept lescott again. Pretty much all blues right now harbour some sort of ill feelings towards him, but i really do think its hasty to say he needs to be gone forever.

for me, i would welcome him back if he publicly apologized to the club and fans for any trouble he's caused, and committed himself to helping the team.

i think the game yesterday probably did wonders to show him that while he's a great player, he's just one of many great names to don a blue shirt, both in the past and today, and that he owes it to the club to work dilligently and faithfully. hopefully now that he sees the team playing better without him, he'll realize that if he really wants to further his career, if he wants to show ambition, moving to a club thats not even playing in europe won't do it, that he has his work cut out for him to get back into the team and if he wants a world cup spot he better pick up the pace.

at any rate, i'm willing to take him back. so what is it: are you ready to take him back now, would a simple apologize suffice for the rest of you, would more be required beyond an apology, or in your opinion has he burned his bridges and needs to be shipped out.

Same for me really, but I doubt it will happen. Don't think he will be an Everton player when the transfer window is shut.

But if he came back into the fold, and another double your money was offered , the same thing could happen....Mind you the majority of us wouldn't turn it down.
I don't blame the lad, but it was the timing of his request etc. If he comes out and says he is committed to us for at least this season , then yes apology accepted and we move on. But it has to come from him now.

Im not arsed about him leaving for the money, im just bothered that his attitude has changed, and even though the fans were patient with him and clapped him in two matches, he still completely blanked us...thats why ill never like him again

Signed a new contract, apologised to the fans, made up with the boss and the team mates and got back to performing.

It wouldn't take anything .
I don't hold grudges , and at the end of the day , it's just a game for those of us who don't take part .
I'll be very happy for him to come onto the pitch , acknowledge the fans for sticking by him , and go play his ass off .
We have no innocence amongst us to justify acting high and mighty .

Would love you back before Sunday Joleon . (y)

I share your sentiments on the matter.

If he can do this. Get his performance and commitment to the level he have had for us until the end of last season, then I will start to forgive him for behaving like he has the last week. But to really get my forgiveness I want to hear him go out in public stating that he wants to stay, ask his teammates for forgiveness and tell the fans that he will do his very best to make it up to them for ignoring them during the last games. Stating his reason for having his head turn by ManC and how they made him interested in going there. (just to know from Lescott how Hughes behaved during this saga).
