A hippo can run 30mph.

A bear, 35mph. In fact. On multiple occasions, scientists in Yellowstone have clocked grizzlies running 25-28 mph over a distance of two miles

Worse is a bear for definite- they have claws that they can grab you with and a hippo on has its mouth.
