Truthfully it has to be Arsenal for me. I've never felt more optimistic that we were just about THERE. To absolutely and so thoroughly dominate a team of that caliber made me just so ecstatic for the future. I wish it lasted more than a week.

72 points trophy as an excuse again. Why don't you look at Martinez's last 2 seasons? Absolutely ridicious winning rate in the league and that's why he was sacked.
 
His hyperbolic comments about players and performances were always hilarious (if you didn't laugh you'd cry). If his words were accurate the team would have been top of the league and the FIFA world player of the year award featuring three Everton players on the podium. Players see through nonsense in no time and lose interest. Chris Sutton probably summed him up best.

The man is a chancer. He's as good a bluffer as ive ever seen, dare I say "phenomenal", and for entertainment purposes alone (albeit cringeworthy) I salute him.
