No Diving.
Instant Replay Tech.
Clock stoppage when ball is out of play.
No time wasting.
SALARY CAP..
I think a Salary cap will save football in the long run, to many teams are digging their own graves..

Defo on the techy and clocky thing...Salary cap would be good , but it would have to be global...we can dream.

Perhaps it will happen in the PL soon - after The RS hit the wall - they don't care if they lose a Pompey (or a Leeds) but The RS are a big draw on a global scale. So, after they've 'gone' and suffered their 9 pt penalty, relegated, humiliated.... we'll see something - it's not as if (say) £20K-£30K a week is beer money is it?

Seriously sin bin and instant replays would improve the game. On replays something along the lines of the coaches challanges like they use in the NFL could work.

I also liked the idea of employing foreign refs to improve the standard, we have foreign owners / managers / coaches / physios / players, but we are dead set against allowing the best refs a chance of working in the best leagues. Yet we are constantly demanding improvement in refs standards.

The diving thing could be easily sorted in 2 ways.
1) Allow punishment after the refs decision, a panel should be able to watch the replay and punish the offender.
2) When player goes down like he has been shot 4 times in the chest and rolls about 4 times, they should be sent off the pitch to recover from the terrible hurt that was caused, 5minutes should do, their team would be down to 10men for 5 mins, no coach would allow that. If the player gets fouled, he goes down and gets back up. The ref will still award a free kick and the player will cease being a rancid diving ****.

3) We should all be allowed to shag Cheryl Cole. Not really football related but it would be good.

some classic posts here lads.

you've cheered me right up.

On a slightly boring note, what about this for an 'idea'.

Instead of playoffs every year where a team who finished 6th can do over a team that finished 3rd and get to the Premier league.

Why doesn't the bottom 2 Premier League clubs go down and the top 2 Championship teams go up as normal, but the team that finishes 3rd from bottom in the Premier League has to play the team that finishes 3rd from top in the Championship.

The winner gets to play in the Prem, a simple fight for survival. You don't get fairer than that in my book.

I am fully aware that for financial reasons this will NEVER happen, but in my defence the thread did say rules that could improve football. On and off the pitch I assume.

Thoughts?????????

Steevie G and Carra should play all next season as a pantomine horse.

Two asses really should go as themselves....

1) If you miss a penalty, you have to stand in the goal, bent forward, and allow all the players to try and hit you from the penalty spot.
2) Multiball for the second period of extra time
3) You have to make all your teammates a cake if you miss an open goal
4) Headers and Volleys only in the last ten of the first half, and first ten of the second
