What is Rodwells role this season?

I believe Fellaini has played 4 more games than him, 96 to 92.

Adapted to a different league and played well (occasionally brilliant) for the team in a variety of positions...

Rodwell can't put anything like that on his CV, wish somebody was daft enough to offer £20m for him.

If we failed to sign a wide player, which we probably will knowing us, then I wouldn't be against something like that either. Especially with an attacking fullback behind him. He needs to be in a position where he can express himself.

That would be exactly my team to start on the first day, injuries and new signings (as if) permitted.
