What is it with City and half brothers?

City are one of those teams I fnd it difficult to dislike for any length of time. I might have forgotten yesterday's result by next week if this gruesome story hadn't popped up in today's Observer.
Now of course none of us held the despicable Joey Barton responsible for his half brother randomly axing an innocent kid to death beacuse he didn't like the colour of his skin - after all they didn't actually grow up together. And we already had more than enough reasons to detest the nasty psychopath.

But this [Poor language removed] gets to brutally torture someone almost to death, video the torture for later enjoyment and gets away with it because his family -one of whom owns City, just happens to own and run his country.

If I was Jo I would be a bit more careful how I phrased my wishes to leave City for Goodison. And if I was Barton I would be looking to keep my head down in the Championship.

dear God in heaven, how could anyone survive THAT.

These people are totally ruthless.
Keep smiling Jo and tip toe quietly out of the door matey!

Another reason I think there's a growing number of us glad that Kenwright hasn't tossed us over to some unknown billionaire.

You wouldn't be seeing these guys crying openly when their team gets to a final!

That's pretty sick. My country would never do that.......uh I mean not anymore, uh well that might not be true either. Who knows WTF goes on at Bagram?

No fan of city but their fans seem to be pretty decent. Hope they don't make Europe though. Because even UEFA cup footie would make recruting good players easier.

I've mentioned before that I'd rather see the "sky 4" [Poor language removed] and form a European superdull league than us wind up being owned by some one rich enough to feed half of africa but too mean to give a ****.

City - it's an empathy thing... 2nd team syndrome.
I have a lot of friends who are City fans and a lot who support our neighbours. I'll leave you to work out who congratulated me the Sunday before last and who didn't.

I have to say, I feel very uncomfortable about our two most recent owners. Everyone knows what a horrible bas+ard Shinawatra was and now this comes out. If only John Wardle, a true blue, had the finances to back up his passion for the club.

Ultimately though, the way I see it is that I was around before these oil rich killers came in and I'll be around long after they've left us for some other plaything.

That's why when people say they hate city because of the owners it saddens me a little- by all means hate us for who we are as fans, or the way we play football, or because we're bitter about that lot from Salford but please don't blame us for something beyond our control.

I really wish you'd try and mask your blatant racism a little better.

You're a disgrace to the forum.

RIP MY PUNCTUATION YOU BEAST.

Agreed mate, sorry to say that we allow this psycho on here.

If you're Greek then he'd well stab you or something.
