What is going to happen to Queens Park Rangers?

Player Valuation: £40m
Now that they are officially relegated from the Premier League, I'm curious where they are going to end up next year. I have read all sorts of speculation about what is possibly going to happen to them:

-massive fine (heard £58m or something) for FFP breaches and/or financial irregularities
-massive points deduction for next season in the Championship
-barred from the Football League entirely and condemned to the Conference

not that I'm arsed like, hope we never see them in the top flight again.

wheres all this come from mate?

I hope they never come back. Crap team with no history, paying 3x what they should to past-it players, who play like XI strangers week in, week out. Plus they hired Redknapp.

Glad to see the back of them.

nah what i meant was why would any of this happen?

Last i heard about QPR was simply about them coming straight back up, not fined into oblivion and kicked out the league

They broke the FFP rules last year, or the year before, so unless they pay the fine, or renegotiate it, they could be lobbed out of the league.

All ifs and buts, but UEFA might use the opportunity to kick a smaller club to make a point that they are serious.

They're currently presenting two defences against the fine - one is the accounting treatment of the £60m write-off of loans by Tony Fernandes and the second is a legal defence known as lex mitior which relates to the change in FFP rules for Championship clubs to be applied retrospectively to QPR's benefit.

Reckon they will manage to swerve it?

They're pretty confident.....

.....regardless, they still appear to be in a mess and face huge challenges in the Championship. Burnley tried to stay up with largely Championship players on Championship wages, QPR lacked quality but paid big bucks salaries and it won't be easy moving some of the 'bad eggs' on.
