What is and what should never be

Well bumped too, i read the whole thing before checking the time stamp, defo more relevant today than 6 months ago even.

I'm the eternal optimist and i'm looking forward to seeing the Everton team anno 2012, considering Moyes will have time to rebuild and restructure a bit in january. We are heading towards a generation change in the first team lineup, with the older guys slowly being fazed out. Today, the older men make up around half our outfield players, and i figure that's good balance between experience and enthusiasm. Though that balance might just be a bit too well-balanced, like. Canceling each other out. I believe that with time, as our younger kids start coming through and taking responsibility from the older ones (especially Neville and Cahill are those types of lenient responsibility-sponges that don't seem to create enough with what they got), our team dynamics will change drastically. Just look at that feeling when Baines decides "fck it, i'm gonna go for this now!", which he did for our second goal at Birmingham least season, the surge before Beckford's goal against Chelsea in the first game. That same feeling as in Rodwell's solo goal against united, or that surge whenever Barkley touches the ball or Felli goes for that challenge.

I'm trying to say we have quality and we have exciting quality, more than enough to keep us fans entertained for the time being. These two new kids will hopefully react positively on that. We all know Moyes isn't an idiot, and if he's managed to build excellent teams earlier from scratch, this time honestly isn't very different, even though we indeed are skint.

This third team though will form a footballing empire that sees us successful across europe. I have hope. I can feel it in my bones.

Its a pity ghost isn't about to appreciate this third empire or as I like to call it, the third reich.

The new Panzer formation should see us roll across Europe.

Imagine SS-Sturmbannführer Hibbert in his black leathers, with a goosestepping tackle.

Kenwright had 2 tasks when he displaced Johnson:

1. Provide mid term rebuilding of the squad
2. Provide investment and a new stadium that would allow us to compete on level terms with the likes of ManU, Chelsea & Arsenal.

#1 He done a reasonable job - appointing Moyes all those years ago was a very good move.
#2 Was always the more important part of the job, and he has failed utterly, and now we are seeing the results of this failure. Our stadium is ancient, and we don't have a pot to p1ss in. His failure here is now undermining any success he had with #1 of his aims.

Put simply, Kenwright has failed us. He must go for the good of the club. I refuse to believe that in all this time nobody else could have delivered us a new stadium or redeveloped Goodison, or found money to allow the club to move forward.
