What If.........

Everything's gone really quiet on the Lescott front. He's either been sold or Citeh arent interested anymore. They seem more interested in John Terry and now Alves.

Anyway, I'm not arsed about Delph, Mout wont be moving, and Defour could happen.

I'd take that, I really think Moyes could make a player out of Richards whist I think Defour is excellent. However I still think Mout is Moyes's first choice so he must be some player. IMIT!!

Either of Moutinho or Defour would be fantastic.

Both natural born winners and leaders at their current clubs.

Moutinho was made captain of Sporting at 19! That either says Sporting are hugely immature or he is just a natural leader, hopefully the latter!

Defour is the same, he's like their Arteta, makes them tick and are a different side without him.

We need more players like that in our squad, that's what the difference is between 5th and 4th, players willing to take responsibility and run games.

The problem is, unless Defour wants to leave and makes it known to the Standard owner, he won't be going anywhere for anything less than what we paid for Fellaini, it would be robbery.

Moutinho on the other hand, I think considering we have reportedly just had a £13 million bid for Defour rejected, £2 million more and we could have him.

Delph looks promising too, but he's one for the future. I wouldn't want to rely on him coming in to take too much responsibility.

I'd be interested in knowing out of all of us who would we prefer if it was a straight choice between Moutinho and Defour.

It'd be interesting to get a poll up, but I don't know how :(

Lets say £15 million got you either, if you were Moyes, which would opt for, the Mout or Defour?

Extra marks for showing your working out.

No thankyou.

Even if we just buy one of those players i will be happy, we need to build on what we've got

we should biuld on last season, for me unless lescott actualy demands a move we should keep him and progress, and capitalise on last season with sinings

yes, i hope we keep Lescott. Richards is clearly not the player Joleon is, and there is no guarantee that Defour or Mountinho would adapt to the PL. And with Jagielka's injury we need some class alongside Yobo for quite some time. Please stay J-Lo.

if we sold lescott then i can imagine our targets will go up in price.

eg if ken bates (spit spit) hears we have 15 million to splash about he would then increase the cost of delph by a few million.

imo we should buy first , sell later (if at all).

weve got 2 out of the best5/6 center backs in the country both recognised at international level both young enough to get better still to sell any would severly weaken any defence it makes no sence

Anyone got the stats on Lescotts scoring? Is he the leading scorer for CBs in the prem for the past two terms? How much cash would those goals take to replace?
