Probaly know what the majority would go for, but sure here goes. If you could go back in time and reverse the 1985 or 1986 cup final defeats which would you change?
In 1985 we could have won a unique a treble by beating Man United. By winning in 1986 we would have stopped our loveable neighbours doing the double.
For me if i could chose i would go for the 1986 cup. My first season supporting the blues, still recovering for the double disssapointment!!!

Not to knock your thread mate but personally I think it's time we started Making new history at the club. Its demoralising talking about the 80s or 'that' Kevin Campbell goal at Anfield in the late 90s.

Let's have the team start performing and winning titles again now, I mean that's surely what they enter the competitions for, to win them. Let's stop being beaten by youth teams and humiliating ourselves.

Neither
2009 for me.

If we can go back in time, in 1985 I would have made an anonymous call to the police in an Irish accent to say there was a device planted at Wembley. The delay would have helped us recover from the European final and we would have won that game. While everyone is distracted with that I would have arranged an end of season party for the RS and driven that bus off a cliff jumping clear just before it goes over. Hence we'll have won the double next year too, Two birds one stone.

Doing the treble would have brought immense pleasure.
Having said that, losing in 1986 at Wembley was without any doubt, the lowest I have ever felt whilst supporting us.
It must have been gut wrenching for the players having to follow that shower the following day in the bus parade.
