What happens to Goodison?

I walk past highbury occasionally and they have kept some of the original features and built round them so there are still signs of the old stadium. Quite nice actually. We should do similar - whack a few sleeping bags in the top balcony for example.

I agree, the perfect scenario would be keep the main structure and build modern flats within the stands and keep the pitch area as the communal gardens...as they did with highbury. Doubt we would fetch £0.5m+ for each one like they did though but the Goodison legacy would be retained and not lost to a supermarket which would show no resemblance of the fine plot it is built on

If we sell it to Redrow or Barrat there should be a clause written into the contract with them that EFC STH's get a 30 day priority window to purchase an affordable home, starting with STH with 18 away credits

I noticed that myself , wonder if something has been knocked down or bombed?

Below is a map of the area from 1901. The Edge Hill & Bottle Branch runs right through what would have been streets M & S. Spellow Station Opened in 1882 so could do with viewing a map before then. I suppose there is a possibility it could be Markin Street & Stuart Road on the otherside of County Road.
