Just quickly, please tell me someone else noticed this at the Arsenal game:

4:20 in, Fabregas's solo goal, Marouane desperately trying to run back like a cartoon character. At least he actually tried to get back, bless him. Was the only thing that made me smile when we were getting hammered.

LMAO, poor guy, you could see how much effort he put into that.

Castrol used two seasons of data to work out who had the top speed reached (not sustained or with the ball). Sol Campbell was #2 so I wouldn't read much in to it.

I think it was probably just a publicity thing after Usain Bolt decided to show how fast humans can run.

I see what you did there, steevie. Billyrussian left CM. If you look at his youtube clips he seems to take up that position a lot.

I reckon he'll get his start on the right though...that said, Moyes likes to switch the players on the flanks during the game, so I reckon we'll se him on the left for huge chunks of the game too.

The premiership player with the second fastest recorded top speed reached that Castrol found with the data they had for the past two seasons as part of creating their football player rating index as part of their World Cup 2010 sponsorship.

Like I said, I wouldn't read too much in to it, but the list is getting mentioned on other sites and the radio so I mentioned it.

I just went on that position because a fella who knows what type of player said on SSN, that playing him wide left would be a bit of a waste. He described Bilyaletdinov similar to the likes of Frank Lampard positioning wise.

Torres, Rooney, AJ, Young, Gabby the whore, Lennon, Anelka and probably still Giggs are all faster than Fabregas.
Fabregas is faster thinking than any of these except possibly Rooney
