May be a bit long but will try to condense.
My Grandad was reading a book and suddenly an image of his daughter's Mother in law popped out at him. Except she was younger than he had ever known her with long curly blonde hair. She had passed away years before.
Nan called him crazy and went nuts when she heard him on the phone to his daughter telling her about it. He told us all, as he was convinced it was real. His daughter (my aunty) said her Mother in law never had long blonde hair but would ask her husband. He didn't remember his Mum looking like Grandad described either, but it gave him a nice feeling that maybe his Mum was still out there somewhere.
He told his Brother who didn't know their Mum like that either but his Brother told their Sister and she had a photo that her brothers hadn't seen which showed their Mum very much like Grandad had described. It was all a bit weird cos this all happened within a week and we all knew about it along the way, mostly cos Nan was saying he was going crazy or something. How would he have conjured up the image himself when he'd never known her look like that?
Having fought in the war Grandad never believed in religion or anything like that. But this really tested him and he couldn't get his head around it. Nan still thought he was nuts but even she started to wonder. They went to the local church to speak to the priest and while not completely believing in God, Grandad was starting to believe in something.
A few days after, Grandad who had been as fit and strong as he'd ever been, fell and landed badly. He'd broken a few ribs but was struggling. He died from some sort of complication 2 days later, exactly 2 years to the day that his daughter's Mother in law (the lady from his vision) had died.
Believe of it what you will but cos we all lived it, its a mad thing in our family and most of us believe there must be something going on, either there is some sort of afterlife, your mind knows already when you will die or someone needs to investigate that priest!
