What do you say before a meal?

The military is a good cross-section of America (we recruit from all over the country, all races, religions and political leanings).

In my time, very few people who say grace it a prayer, so I actually don't think it's all that common. In addition to the many years of being American, I only saw grace/prayers sparsely.

And no, I do not.

My Southern is showing because many of the military folks I know would say grace….at least at family supper.

….and i know lots of people that do….half my family does, at every meal, even in restaurants.

I think its going to be a super regional thing tbh. There were a few people who would say something under their breath when underway, but honestly, the majority didn't......then would just get their chow and start eating.

"In America, its very common to say grace"

It really isn't unless you still think its the 1960s and you're in the perfect Americana movie scene. Or you're in the bible belt and you better say grace or your daddy will give you a whoppin!

Just once, start a normal thread. I dare you.

Ignore him @emir, keep making threads like this please.
