What do you look out for when watching football?

Is there anything in particular that you like to watch? Do you watch how players move into different channels, do you look for space and options for the player with the ball?

When I'm watching I watch the whole game, the players off the ball are usually more important as they're the ones trying to create space and chances, I love watching a player on the ball who makes it look easy and that he has all the time in the world, Marouane Fellaini seems to have that ability.

At corners or set pieces I don't look at the taker I look around the box and see what is happening there. I just love football.

I'd like to hear what you like to see or what you look out for etc

I've always liked watching defenders off the ball & when they're reading the game & anticipating the opposition pass.

Alan Stubbs was always a good watch in this regard

That's something I don't really do, I like watching exciting prospects, Danny Rose stood out for me at the stadium of light this season, I thought he was a handful, I don't usually pay particular attention to opposition players but imagine how exciting it'd be if Hulk signed for Chelsea, he is a powerhouse

Watching a player who plays using his vast experience is just as interesting as watching some promising youngster.

I mean who could ever tire of watching an old master like Alan Stubbs ffs?

The thing with Alan Stubbs is you could always see that he was made for management. His communications skills were second to none.

If only, IF ONLY, he was a dead cert for a job this summer.

I don't particularly like footy unless it involves Everton, Celtic or Ireland. I'd rarely sit down and watch a match as a neutral to be honest. And if I did I'd only get into it if I had cash on it. Either way therefore I only really care about the result so I'm not one to watch for strategy or formation.

Sorry to sound like a caveman but I just want my team to score more than the opposition!

I sit like a coiled spring just waiting, waiting, watching the Ref for even the slightest hint of bias or mistake.

As soon as this shows itself, and it always does, I explode like a raging ball of fury that can be felt for miles around me(4 seats either way).

Then he puts his coin away and we kick off.

I watch the stewards quite a bit... And oddly, what the goalies do when play is at the other end of the pitch..
