We've always done it. Variation of a stocking or box. A little toy, pyjamas, sweets, selection box etc..I have never heard of Christmas Eve boxes before this year, so I query the description of them as an "important tradition".
To my knowledge, no-one in my entire extended family does this.
Whereabouts are you based mate? UK? (I'm just trying to get an idea of where this concept has come from)We've always done it. Variation of a stocking or box. A little toy, pyjamas, sweets, selection box etc..
I agree but please don’t say that you neglect to celebrate the tradition of the giving of the day before Christmas Eve boxes.I have never heard of Christmas Eve boxes before this year, so I query the description of them as an "important tradition".

Huh. Maybe it's a North/South thing then? I'm about as south as you can go without getting very wet (and picked up by the French coastguard) and Christmas Eve boxes are brand new this year AFAIK. How interesting.I'm based in the UK and it has been tradition here for as long as I can remember.
