What did you pack in your kid's Xmas Eve box?

I have never heard of Christmas Eve boxes before this year, so I query the description of them as an "important tradition".

To my knowledge, no-one in my entire extended family does this.
I agree but please don’t say that you neglect to celebrate the tradition of the giving of the day before Christmas Eve boxes.

Huh. Maybe it's a North/South thing then? I'm about as south as you can go without getting very wet (and picked up by the French coastguard) and Christmas Eve boxes are brand new this year AFAIK. How interesting.

I'm in the South and it wasn't a thing in our house, my Mrs is from the same area and it was for them though. Dont think its a north/south thing.

We don't do boxes but stockings here in the US, in Colombia we don't have either tradition.

My daughter stocking was stuffed with a chocolate box, a bycicle bell, lip gloss, a book, and about $50 worth of scratch lottery tickets because my hubby is crazy. She had mentioned once in the past that she wanted to try her luck so he decided to buy lots of them because he didn't know which one to choose since he doesn't play the lottery. After all the scratching she won $4 a very bad return if you ask me.
