Santa delivered the truth, that we should be thankful for what we have and so easily take for granted. Far too many go without all year and it is the good will to all men and caring in the community that is overwhelmed by material items at this time of the year where we are supposed to take at least a solitary moment to cast an eye over those around us and make sure they are ok and are in a place where they can see the winter through.

Christmas is a holiday subverted from its original meaning, the gifts you have are those that care for you and that you care for. That situation is the blessing. Care for it, nurture it, the greatest gift is life, so appreciate those that spend theirs on you.
