If we are to go for 4th then i see a big problem that could end up costing us even if we catch the other team.

Personally I think lack of points could be a bigger problem. Let's set our sights on the Europa League places. Anything more than that would be an astonishing bonus.

We top the form league and I would suggest the confidence league. This is where teams struggle at the run in. If we continue to play with togetherness, spirit, fight and hard work then that gives us the best chance. If we go to a cold, wet horrible night in Bolton without any of the above then we will lose out on fourth.

I wouldn't worry about goal difference at this stage, what happened at the beginning of the season has past we need to concerntrate on getting 3 points at every game and what will be will be come the last day of the season.

After the perfomances against Chelsea and United we know we can win agaisnt the best, it's what happens against the teams that we 'should' beat that is more important now. Jan 31st we were 50/1 to finish fourth after yesterday we are now 28/1. Wish I had a cheeky tenner on back in January.

Nah, BB posted a thread yesterday about the run in and there still are some games that were very capable of losing. If we finish seventh I'll be made up, anything else and I will be delighted.

BB hit it spot on there, the focus should be on a great pre-season and strong start next year. Apart from left back cover there is no gaping whole in the team that needs investment in the summer, retaining our best players should be the focus.

we didn't play well pre-season and that carried on into the start of the season, whether it was down to lescott is debatable imo, but certainly didn't help.

when we are good we are unplayable, but the flip really is the flip as we offer nothing whatsoever. that is what will cost us. it could be a europa run that costs us as well if moyes decides to prioritise it.
