Right.... I need a new car.....something economical as I will be using it daily for work but not some hairdressers car that ijjy would drive... I have a budget of about 4 k....... I am edging towards the fiesta 1.4 tdci ..... Any other suggestions ?

Polo diesel. should get upwards of 50mpg. But yeah, most relatively new tiny cars with a diesel should do you well.
He said no hairdressers cars........

8 minutes...... Not bad.... Room for improvement.
Think most small diesels are much of a muchness to be honest ...... Never owned a diesel car though. As long as it can carry my kayak on the roof I'm not too fussy.

Ferrari mate.
got one mate, good little work horse just plods along, easy to get fixed if anything goes not much does , had mine about ten years will get another three or so out of it at least, used to get a new car every three years but as long as this one keeps going im sticking with it.
Nice one Edge.... I hate the thought of spending money on what's basically gonna be a car for work but it needs to be reliable . Th write ups for the fiesta are kinda pushing me towards getting one. It's nice to hear off someone who owns one.
