What age are you ?

I'm in the 6th now and must admit having seen all the glory and the pain still love to plot and plan my trips to see us. It is made the more pleasurable having the lad being a blue and travelling together. What has not changed has been the 'ale beforehand' ritual. Alongside me telling him not to make it too obvious we are Evertonians when we sit in the home end at away games. I always blow this cover with the first 'for God sake trap the ball' after a few minutes but get away with it because of my age, I think.

Very amusing article.

Well into the fifth age, but not considering for a nanosecond not watching the Blues or moving to non league footie.

Fourth.

But, I can see the fifth approaching! I remember when Everton were away, my grandad took me all over the North West to watch football. None of this Everton one week, Liverpool the other for us.

He always told me never to argue or reason with a Kopite, it's not worth it son, they'll never understand so don't waste your time.

So, we saw the likes of Marine, Skelmersdale, Southport, Burscough, Prescott instead.

What an education and learning curve - like most lads my Grandad was my hero - I wish I could go back to those days when the world was easy and my biggest worry was which game I'd go to on a Saturday!

I'm somewhere in-between the 3rd & 4th, this line sums me up actually; you are the detached, laconic observer, trying to pretend that you don’t care by laughing at your team’s failures, all the while hurting underneath.
