...it would be for Rodwell to end up as a centre half, the guy looks comfortable in the centre of the midfield, and at the age of 18 he is going to be something special, i hope moyes is just trying to take pressure of the kid by saying he will move him into defence.

Its all down to what he's best at doing. Being a defensive midfielder offers him development in his positioning, composure, awareness, without the big responsibility of being a centre half. He can get away with a lot more as a DM than a centre half.

I agree, I think he looks almost as good as someone like Gareth Barry in his prime and he's only 18. But because of his age he can still end up being a great centre half or DM and depends on his development in either position.

To be proved as a centre half he'll need to be put into a few games in that position soon though.

Spot on mate

In Moyes we trust.

I completely agree that he's a special talent & I feel he's capable of playing at the very top level in either position. Getting games as a defensive midfielder at this stage of his career will be of huge benefit to him whether he stays there or moves back to defence, time is on his side & I'm really excited about him, regardless of what position he plays in a few years

Nah, he'll be at Manure when he's 22 for £25mill.

If that was to happen, i would be demanding the money in full avoiding another Rooney situation where United dictated that deal, a deal i am still convinced the club has yet to recieve all the money owed.

No chance, he'l be Everton captain by then, taking the world by storm and Gosling would have just whipped in a great cross for Baxter to score that makes Everton win the title in the last game ever at Goodison Park

I think we have learned from that transfer. We would certainly demand more money upfront. No fears though, Rodwell is going nowhere
