What a gesture. Amazing.

Its a lovely gesture but what else were they gonna do with it? Spend it on a new conservatory?

Maybe they were, who knows, but to give £20k to strangers so their child has a chance when you know yours has missed that chance, strikes me as a pretty amazing thing to do.

Not saying it isn't mate. Of course it is.

But I also think most people would do the same.

Yeah, possibly. I reckon most would donate the money to charity, I probably would in all honesty, but the thing that I found incredible wasnt so much them giving the cash, it was how the recipients must have felt.

All the idiots we have in the UK?

Most would probably rather piss it up against the wall then brag about it on facebook.

Imagine how the parents who are recieving that money actually feel right now.....with that little bit of added hope for their own child's life...

Imagine Fergie phoned Moyes tomorrow and said " we don't need Wayne anymore, here...you take him and I hope he brings you success and Happiness "

how would you feel ?

now multiply that by a million.....

and you still don't even come close.

Some great people in this world still exist, even if most of the news you hear these days is of terrible crimes etc.

Cause for a little bit of optimism.

I might be reading this wrong but doesn't the article state that Parents who have a terminally ill child, raised money for an operation, then decided to give the money they raised away to someone they don't know??

what's that about??

Their own child's condition is now incurable. An operation would be a waste of time and money. They are giving another child the chance to live
