Whale watching

Anyone had an experience ?
I ended up in Iceland by chance a few years back and had two trips out. One in Akureyn then this one a couple of weeks later from Husavik. Being in the presence of such incredible creatures is truly humbling and moving. Well chuffed we came across a Blue whale.

Saw a pod of orcas (not whales) off the coast of British Columbia several years ago. Great experience but too many pirate firms and individuals not obeying regulations and getting in too close so have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I guess it’s good for conservation in many ways and increases environmental awareness.

I love orcas. I would love to see one in the wild. Wouldn't dream of going to Seaworld to look at one. They have been seen of the coast of Northumbria just recently so I might have a trip out there to see them. Only about an hour or so away..

North sea are all electric Schooners Stunning boats and very quiet to go out on!
The other 2 boats out when we saw the Blue where diesel and pumped out loads of fumes to follow her path, Not a good look really ! Half of me wanted to jump in and apologise for the mess we've created.
