Has anyone applied for this? Really easy to do, just takes about 5 minutes, and you can claim up to £6 per week.

Also did a backdated claim as I've been working from home two days a week for a few years. Got a cheque for £240 in the post...

It's a £6 reduction in your taxable income per week, not £6 of tax saving. If you're a basic rate tax payer, it's worth £1.20 per week (i.e. £6 @ 20%).

It's worth about £60 quid a year though so well worth it. I'll be doing it when I get round to it.

Thanks for clarifying that mate. Still, as you say, it works out at a 'free' sausage roll per week from Greggs so worth it imo.
 

I used to claim for professional body subscriptions and registration fees and the cost of doing a separate hot wash for my uniform , that was a fixed rate set by HMRC.
