every season there is one team that's going to leave us behind and we will slip into obscurity.

guess what? never happens though.

We Have just had our worst season since about 2003 or something it's not going to happen again. we'll be back up there again next season and balance will be restored with mid table teams like West ham, Stoke and Swansea back where they belong, mid table.

close thread and when this becomes a reality re-open is what I say.

It has happened though. City overtook us. Newcastle overtook us before Ashley came in. Chelsea overtook us. You could even argue that Spurs have overtaken us. The idea that West Ham could never overtake us is nonsense.

They are yet another competitor that look like they will overtake us in the coming years. All the people saying LOL remind me of a certain Ian Ross, who IIRC, told Everton fans "Just be glad that you don't support Manchester City", a few weeks before they became the most affluent club in the world.

We already compete with West Ham for players, and at the moment we compete well against them, Troure chose us for example. But this WILL change if investment in Everton continues to be neglected. Nothing surer.

and these players are? troure and one statement from sam fat head saying that del was in talks with them before we look in his general direction and he came to us.

hardly competing for every player tooth and nail is it.

everyone is making out they had this amazing season or something they finished below us in one of our worst seasons in over 15 years ffs.
