WEST HAM VS EVERTON MATCH OFFICIALS

Let's hope he deals properly with Carroll elbowing everyone in the mush unlike that useless chump who reffed the Cup replay last season, turned a blind eye to everything and gave us a free-kick when Mirallas was fouled two yards inside the box.

Thought he was great tbh. West Ham fans will probably disagree and fair enough, but it's refreshing to see someone not brandish yellow cards every single foul which seems to be the case these days. Lucky to not get a yellow or two more but a player can execute an accidental foul without it being a yellow.

I agree...thought he was better than most.

I can understand why WHU were fuming at the end of both halves though.

the free kick at the end of the match, the 5 mins had passed. They should have got on with it, it infuriates me when refs continue playing well after the alotted stoppage time because the ball's "in an attacking area" - could be going on for ages.

They should adopt the same rule as in rugby, once the allotted time is up then next time the ball goes out of play the game ends.

The problem West Ham had with Carroll at the end of the first half was that it wasnt even 2 minutes up yet. Still had like 6 seconds left to play. I know it doesnt affect anything but its a particular peeve of mine when the 'there will be 2 minutes of additional time' gets called before the additional time is even up. Happened a ton in the World Cup.

Very good ref, based on todays game for me,only 35 or so,and as said 1st time we have had him ever [i think],and supposedly 1st time for west ham as well
