We lost in the first round of both domestic cups last year for the only ever time in our history...

tbf we're playing united in a semi at wembley - other side of the coin to embarassing defeats, i'd much rather look at him winning both wembley games with wigan as well as battering us in a massive game as well. beat city in the league cup 2nd leg, possibly unfortunate in the return leg as well because of a crap decision.

whoever won tonight would be hard, we would have all preferred one of the other two, but our result of the season was the chelsea one, at least we've shown we can show up from time to time against the bigger teams on the bigger stages,

Probably doesn't mean as much to them as it would to Wham

but west ham don't have a mixture of players who have played on the biggest stages like united do ... accompanied by roar, fearful young talent like rashford.

I weirdly hate optimism before a big game. I'm terrified it will jinx it.

I mean if we play like we can, we'll win and I do trust martinez on the big occassions to some extent, but I'm just happier with everton to poopoo our chances rather than go in confident.
