West Ham Complain About Everton Dirtiness?

a few of theirs mentioned neils challenge that should have been a penalty due to the move being appropriate for a wrestling ring.

they also singled pienaar out as a diver, and that the ref was on our side. which im not totally sure about.

I dont know if I'm right in saying this, but maybe Pienaar is a bit like AJ - just not strong enough so goes down quite easily. From what I watch of South African football, theres really no talk of diving ever.

I hadn't really noticed it until seeing him live but he was diving. I don't want to see Everton players falling over with no contact, or even leaving their leg dangling to engineer contact.

Watching rugby a lot and it's amazing how hard it is to get some people down, yet some footballers will fall over if you so much as look at them. It's up to the ref to determine if you've been impeded, but you stay on your feet unless you can't help it.

Bit like Robbie Keane against West Ham, if he stayed up he had an empty net, instead he falls over to try and get the keeper sent off and got what he deserved, bugger all.

Well if it is diving, we'll just have to wait for him to stop doing it, like lots of other players that used to dive, they stop after a season or 2. Pienaar is a great player so I'd hate to see him doing that [Poor language removed].

It is upto Moyes to crack the whip and tell the players to jack it in.

True Robert, if he does he'll have to tell teta as well but up to now he is too cute but goes down very easily. See my signature, it is a thing that must be eradicated from the game.

This is hipocricy at its best. (spellcheck)

How many complained when Limpar dived against Wimbledon?
How many complain each week when Arteta goes down too easily?
How many complained when Lineker went down against Cameroon?

Its just part of the game now and while we may not like it, while we accept it on one hand, we shouldn't be criticising it on the other.

Hypothetical Situation:

If AJ goes down and wins a penalty in the last minute of an FA Cup final, Arteta who had been diving throughout the game takes it and scores. We win the cup. Great, but in the semi-final against Man U, Ronaldo was diving all over the show and got Cahill sent off with some playacting.

Do we accept that cup final win as just? Who here would refuse to recognise it?

Football rules are broken all over the pitch.

- 6 second rule for keepers?
- Throw-ins taken properly? Hardly ever!
- Free-kicks taken from the right spot
- Free-kicks taken with a wall ten yards away.
- Handball or ball to hand? Depends if its in the penalty area or not.
- Offsides? Daylight? Was Cahill offside against Fulham? Yes he was.
- Do we play the full 90minutes? Depends.
- Shielding the ball going out for a goalkick is not a foul, anywhere else on the pitch it is.

The game is in a mess, and I for one am not going to **** Piennar off for diving, when Arteta does the same thing, and Limpar did it to keep us in the Premiership.

I did and still do

I doubt you complained at the time.

Why should you say that, those who know me will tell you I hate any gamesmanship, read last night match thread re Arteta. Ghost you come out with some insulting comments just to suit what appears to be your flawed opinion. I do not lie so give it a rest

He chill. I just can't imagine any Evertonian, infact any fan of any club, watching that game against Wimbledon and not accepting that penalty. I'm not insulting anyone, but foul play goes on. It happens in all walks of life. Is it fair? well no, life isn't fair, so when the ball rolls for you, you take it and don't complain.

If you say to me that you never cheered when that penalty went in, I would find it hard to believe, but I will accept it. [Poor language removed] it though, it isn't a flawed opinion, if more people come forward and say they didn't accept that goal, then fine. But I can't see it.

what a fantastically peculiar post.

This is hipocricy at its best. (spellcheck) <<-- hypocrisy - watch for the Y

How many complained when Limpar dived against Wimbledon? <<-- cant remember it
How many complain each week when Arteta goes down too easily? <<-- yep, the clear dives also i made a big point about his habit for showing the pretend yellow
How many complained when Lineker went down against Cameroon? <<-- not arsed about international football, when maradona got away with the handball it soured the world cup a little (owens dive in 98 cancelled out their dive)

Its just part of the game now and while we may not like it, while we accept it on one hand, we shouldn't be criticising it on the other.

Hypothetical Situation: <<-- you put the Y in on this one, not 60 words after - brilliant

neville did the right thing by avoiding the kuyt attempted assassination recently, other pros with fewer scruples would still be rolling around on the deck now. at the same time, neville did hand ball for the sake of the team and was rightly red carded. two examples in the same game where his professionalism was right on. not getting kuyt sent off was sporting, denying them a goal although against the rules gave us a chance to possibly save the penalty. i cant criticise either case.

(im getting narked at the american spell checker - criticise is the original english version of the word, but it wants a Z in there. pfft.)
