Hi everyone. Once again, thanks a lot for making me welcome in your match preview thread. Was a lot of fun interacting with you lot.

I was just out picking up dinner from Tesco's when I thought up the idea of an article where I ask you lot some questions about the match, get your answers and put it all together then publish it on the site.

1)Looking at the match as a whole, do you believe the result was deserved or not?

2)I can't go through with these questions without asking about that penalty decision. Do you think the referee made correct choice?

3)What is it with Lukaku and always scoring against us? Seen that a few of your lot are not the biggest fans of the Belgian. Personally, i'd take him over Andy Carroll any day of the week.

4)Who was your standout player (good or bad) from West Ham?

5)Given our performance yesterday can you see us beating Newcastle at their ground next Sunday?

Thanks a lot for your answers. I won't need anymore questions answered as I have more than enough material to put the article together.

1) On balance, probably a draw, although as you said at least we were looking for it. Don't always get what you deserve though.
2) Yes. But was surprised because a) we were the away side, and b) Kevin Friend is no Friend of Everton.
3) Four of those games were this season! Some players seem to have teams (usually us) that they score against for fun, whereas other teams they look like it's their first time playing togger. Always rated Lukaku. If Dixie Dean were reincarnated some of our lot would say he misses too many... Best thing about Carroll was Newcastle demanding the £35m off the RS up front, in cash.
4) Agreed with the should about your Left back and Downing. What was Kouyate's problem though? Bad bell there....
5) Anyone can beat Newcastle on their day. Hope you sneak it 8-0.

Used to love the away game at the Boleyn when I lived in London. Had been warned first time not to go in the Queens, ended up in there once as a mate was desperate for the bogs, got talking to a couple of Hammers whilst I waited at the bar (swift pint), ended up in there with them before and after matches for the next several years!

In retrospect Coleman has used his hands so much this season that the law of averages said that he bound to get away with it eventually.

1. Thought we looked more threatening throughout and deserved if anyone the 3pts.
2. This is my biggest bugbear with football nowadays, I always thought a handball had to be a deliberate act, not just hit it. Where is a defender expected to put his hands ? behind his back or vertically down by his side (like riverdance) by the looks of it, which to me is an unnatural position. Your arms are required for balance so do at times come away from your body, so if an opponent blasts the ball at you, it's virtually impossible to avoid. Yet the constant screaming or appealing from players and fans alike for a penalty infuriates me. Anyway no penalty in my view.
3. You always get players who had/have a knack of scoring against certain teams. We've had Paul Scharner, Ian Wright, Les Ferdinand and Frank Lampard tormenting us, it looks like Lukaku is your one.
4. Downing, looks better coming inside
5. Hope you beat Newcastle, but it depends if your players have got their flip flops on or not

1) Looking at the match as a whole, do you believe the result was deserved or not?

Regardless of whatever happens in the 90 minutes, the final result is always the just one. That's just how it works. You lot looked decent for 60 minutes and then just completely turned off. Osman and McGeady coming on gave us a new dimension and you guys seemed unwilling to change to deal with it.

A draw would of been 'fairer', but life isn't fair so tough titties.

2) I can't go through with these questions without asking about that penalty decision. Do you think the referee made correct choice?

Would of been unlucky for us if it was given, but technically it was a handball - so the referee made the wrong decision.

3) What is it with Lukaku and always scoring against us? Seen that a few of your lot are not the biggest fans of the Belgian. Personally, i'd take him over Andy Carroll any day of the week.

He just doesn't seem arsed 90% of the time. His agent bad mouthed the club and that adversely affected the supporters feelings toward him. He's class though.

4) Who was your standout player (good or bad) from West Ham?

Cresswell dealt with the threat of Lennon and Coleman all game. A lot could be said about that.

5) Given our performance yesterday can you see us beating Newcastle at their ground next Sunday?

Yes.

I think we just wanted it a little bit more, especially when we got the equaliser

2)I can't go through with these questions without asking about that penalty decision. Do you think the referee made correct choice?
When I first seen it I thought no, simply as he placed his arms behind his back before the ball was crossed. When I seen it again it was noticeable he moved his arms and the ball hit him, so maybe a penalty.

3)What is it with Lukaku and always scoring against us? Seen that a few of your lot are not the biggest fans of the Belgian. Personally, i'd take him over Andy Carroll any day of the week.
We paid 28ml for him and some on here think he should be performing like a Messi or Ronaldo

4)Who was your standout player (good or bad) from West Ham?
Reid and Cresswell look very good players

Big Sam has a debt to repay Newcastle, hopefully to send them down

Some great run ins with West Ham in my younger days, so always a great respect for them
Also you have had some great footballing teams in the past, you are still a proposer football club....hopefully you won't lose your identity when you move grounds
