Well with another game scheduled in the big smoke on the 22nd of December I thought i'd recommend some hotels that are suitable for our devoted travelling supporter.

With West Ham in the East of london, there isn't a great deal out that way that combines, entertainment and a bed all within a few hundred metres, however with london its all about the tube 'network'

I've selected a couple of hotels below that may prove useful for some of you if your contemplating coming down for the match.

Their both in the Shoreditch area which is where you get some decent night life (some great local bars where a pound coin in the pint glass gets you a little extra. There also both right next to the new Overground line and a quick change at Shadwell will get you on your way to the west ham game.

I'd recommend the crowne plaza for location all day everyday although usually its the best part of £150 - £300 a night in the big smoke and I was surprised to see that you could get it for just under £80 for a twin room.

Who knows, if enough are interested, we could arrange a GOT night out!!

If you have any questions or want a bit of advice feel free to pm me.

Travel times from these hotels are only 25 minutes plus 5 minute walk. (an extra 15 from the Re hotel).

went to a few bars down there recently, lots of lads with taches, nothing to do with Movember, they are just groovey bastards

The closest away game to me and I wouldn't go there if you paid me

Sh*thole and sh*thouse fans

Never been to Upton Park to be honest but will be this season. It can't be that bad can it?

It's a dump mate, but don't let that put you off obviously because it's still a chance to watch the blues (y)

the away fans get sent round the back where all the sh*thouse fans go to start fights and throw things at away fans

the east end of london is crap, especially in west ham, run down shops, dodgy boozers and plenty of crack dens
always crowded on matchdays too, they dont usually serve booze to away fans there either

No worries. i knew the area was a dump (I work in the city). Fortunately i'll be meeting some good friends before the game who are decent west ham fans.
